Turquoise + Shell Inlay Zuni Hoop Earrings

American Indian Silversmith

Dramatic Hoop earrings with turquoise, lapis lazuli, onyx, and shell set in sterling silver base.  Signed TCA, 1985 and a Copyright C in a circle, a sign of a top artist who doesn't want their work duplicated.

The Zuni tribe of New Mexico is famous for their fine stone work or lapidary skill.  They carved and polish turquoise, abalone and other gems into these perfect pieces and then set them in geometric patterns in silver and sometimes gold.

Ruby loves wearing these with a crisp white tailored button down and high-waisted trousers.  She hits the city on a Friday evening for happy hour with these beauties, never failing to catch the eye of fellow fashionistas.
