Turquoise Chief Joseph Pendleton Blanket

Turquoise, Orange, Black, and Red Pendleton Wearing Robe blanket in reversible Chief Joseph pattern.

Pendleton has been making blankets for American Indian groups for over a century and they are an integral part of the ceremonies, dances and tribal gatherings.

Many of the patterns they produce are inspired by traditional Navajo eye-dazzler designs and often the patterns reverse for extra versatility and beauty.  This one reverses the black ground with the colorful serrated diamond and stripe design for a graphic impact.

68" by 68" square

Good vintage condition from the 1970-80's with no stains, tears, or holes.  Damage to the yarn fringe as shown (priced to reflect this fact).

Ruby displays this blanket on the foot of his bed.  The turquoise and the feminine fringe at the edges compliments her decor.  It never fails to warm her on a cold winters night...
