SOLD Small Sand Painting- Zuni Knifewing Yei

American Indian Artist

SOLD Shalako Sand Painting of Zuni Knifewing deity or Yei, framed with type-written description from the original artist:

Zuni Wing Knife Man

The Zuni wing knife is one of the guardian spritis of the rainbow man.  His purpose was for protection from all negative powers.

He appeared only with the rainbow guardian.  The Indian recognized him, in relationship to the white man's religions, as the guardian Anoki.
This design is authentic as limitations allow in order to present the rich Indian culture in this proper perspective.

All sands used in this picture are natural except in cases where toning is necessary in order to create a harmonious design.
