SOLD Set of 4 Chimayo Place-Mat Rugs
SOLD Vintage Chimayo woven wool mini-rugs that can be used as place-mats or on any table in your home.
This set of 4 have a roadrunner in the center of each and small stripes at top and bottom. Applied white/cream fringe has been added to each end in the Chimayo tradition.
While not Navajo, these weavings come from a colony of Spanish settlers that came to New Mexico in the 17th century. They intermixed with the local Tewa natives in the proceeding centuries and are known to this day for their textiles, red chile, and wood carving.
On average 9" wide by 14" long without fringe
