Hopi seed jar by Marianne Navasie (1951-2007) with rainbird geometric hand painted design in two shades of brown on a white-cream hand-coiled clay that has been traditionally gathered from the Hopi mesa and fired as her ancestors did. Marked with a frog, tadpole, and M. on the underside. Marianne is the grand-daughter of the famous Hopi-Tewa potter known as Frogwoman and daugher of Joy Navasie.
