Four Strands of Antique Trade Beads

Venetian Glassmaker

Four Stands of 200-300 year old Glass Trade beads, originating in Venice or less often France.  The beads are Red with White hearts, Blue, White and Pinkish-purple and are strung without a clasp and easily slip over the head.

Trade beads were used as currency by the European traders that came to the New World to seek their fortunes.  Bright and shiny they hold their mystique to this day.

Approximately 24" long but varies for each strand.

Full of heritage and beauty, Ruby wore this set on a picnic with George on his Urban Rooftop Deck.  Pairing them with a white Gretchen Jones NYC blouse and gray arrow skirt, they mesmerized George as much as they did the American Indians that loved them centuries before.
