Carved Turquoise Necklace
Blue-green turquoise necklace with stones shaped in oblong beads that almost look like molars.
Hand carved by a talented American Indian Artist it is strung on nylon cord and is secured with a traditional silver handmade hook and eye.
Ruby layers this necklace with strands of silver beads of different scales, sometimes until they feel heavy on her neck. She honors the way Navajo American Indians wore necklaces in the 1800's and likely before. They liked to wear their wealth and wear strand after strand of worked stone beads, glass trade beads and silver beads as well.
