Large handwoven Navajo Basket by famous Revival maker Mary Black with black and red butterflies. 
21" W x 2" H
Low bowl or plaque in shape, boldly decorated in black and red butterflies surrounded by a diamond and six pointed star boarder. 
Split yucca makes up the blonde background and black devils claw makes the criss-crossed black edge. Willow rod core. Mary Black reintroduced basketmaking to her area of the Navajo Nation that led to a revival of the fine art, and this basket is a testament to that work.
